Utoy Creek WRC Influent Pump Station, Fulton County GA

MC Squared collects soil samples at Utoy Creek RFC

MC Squared is supporting Wade Trim and Fulton County on the ongoing upgrade of the influent pump station at the Utoy Creek Water Reclamation Center. This Progressive Design-Build project is a crucial part of the County’s efforts to modernize its wastewater infrastructure and enhance long-term service reliability for the South Fulton community.

The influent pump station is the first entry point for wastewater into the facility. Upgrading this essential component will help manage increased flow, reduce strain on existing systems, and improve overall plant performance. Once completed, these enhancements are expected to boost operational efficiency and ensure the system meets future regulatory and population demands.

MC Squared provides geotechnical engineering services throughout the completion of design and are ready to serve during construction. Our team conducted site investigations to evaluate subsurface conditions, including soil behavior, groundwater levels and how subsurface conditions could affect performance, which are vital for planning stable, long-lasting foundation and underground wall systems. We also assist with stakeholder coordination and provide geotechnical insights to guide planning and phased construction activities in the future.

Our field services include drilling, sampling, and analysis of soil and rock, all tailored to accommodate existing utilities and ongoing operations at the site. Our findings and recommendations support major design decisions and help anticipate construction-related challenges before they arise, and how to overcome them.

As the project progresses, MC Squared remains dedicated to delivering reliable and detail-oriented support. Ultimately, this project will strengthen a core piece of infrastructure that protects public health, supports economic development, and promotes sustainable growth for the City of Atlanta and Fulton County.
