Custer Avenue CSO Relief Storage Vault City of Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia

Provided comprehensive geotechnical engineering services for the Custer Avenue CSO Relief Storage Vault project which were performed in two Phases. We evaluated the soil conditions and groundwater levels at the site, and provided recommendations concerning site development and foundation design and construction recommendations for the proposed storage vault. The proposed vault is a new five (5) million gallon buried underground stormwater vault retention consisting of cast-in-place concrete with side walls, overflow weir and box culvert by-pass to storage vault. The foot print of the vault is 58,000 square feet, City of Atlanta, Georgia.

SR 120 (Abbotts Bridge Road) City of Johns Creek, Fulton County, Georgia

Provided geotechnical services for the existing Pavement Evaluation and Design and Soil Survey along the roadway along SR 120, Abbotts Bridge Road, City of Johns Creek, Fulton County Georgia. The scope included coring of pavement along the project alignment, evaluation of the existing asphalt condition and thickness based on the cores taken, the analyses of existing base and/or subbase materials and performing pavement design for full depth replacement and overlay designs per GDOT requirements.

Hartsfield Jackson Deicing Facility, Atlanta, Georgia

Provided Engineering Services and construction materials testing and inspection for the construction of an aircraft apron and supporting facilities to provide a minimum of five unobstructed narrow-body deicing positions on the north airfield with the capability of deicing ten aircraft per hour. The project includes approximately 580,000 square feet of new apron pavement, approximately 100,000 square feet of pavement repairs, demolition of existing utilities and construction of new utilities, a 1.5 M gallon underground storage vault for spent glycol run-off, product storage tanks for Type I and Type IV glycol and diesel fuel, heaters for water, pumping facilities, and truck loading and unloading stations.

SR 951 Bridge @ Marco Island, Lee County, Florida

Provided geotechnical engineering on this project for the Florida Department of Transportation, District 1. The project involved the design of a new high level bridge, approximately 1500 feet in length. The work was performed for FDOT District 1.

SR 40 Widening 820, Charlton/Camden, Georgia

Provided Geotechnical Engineering Recommendations for the roadway consisting of Pavement Evaluation, Soil Survey and Wall Foundation Recommendation along SR 40 east of St. Mary’s cutoff/MP 5.0/Charlton to CR 61 in Camden and Charlton Counties, GA. The total length of the roadway is approximately 11.67 miles. The project consists of approximately 10.2 miles of pavement overlay, 11.67 miles of new pavement ranging from 2 to 4 lanes, and five (5) culvert extensions. Approximately 2.2 miles of wetland area exists along the project alignment.
