ConnallyProvided comprehensive geotechnical explorations, seismic study, and foundations evaluations and recommendations. Our recommendations consisted of deep foundations and shallow mat foundations. The project is a seven (7.0) million gallon (MG) buried underground stormwater vault retention consisting of cast-in-place concrete beams, columns with side walls, overflow weir and box culvert by-pass to storage vault. The foot print of the vault is approximately 90,000 square feet. In addition, we provided design recommendations for the proposed stormwater pond area which is approximately 780,000 square feet and is located on the SW corner of the intersection of Martin and Little Streets, Atlanta, Georgia.
Provided comprehensive geotechnical engineering services for the Custer Avenue CSO Relief Storage Vault project which were performed in two Phases. We evaluated the soil conditions and groundwater levels at the site, and provided recommendations concerning site development and foundation design and construction recommendations for the proposed storage vault. The proposed vault is a new five (5) million gallon buried underground stormwater vault retention consisting of cast-in-place concrete with side walls, overflow weir and box culvert by-pass to storage vault. The foot print of the vault is 58,000 square feet, City of Atlanta, Georgia.

MC Squared Inc. provided geotechnical exploration, laboratory testing and engineering foundation recommendations for the expansion at the James E. Quarles Water Treatment Plant. We also provided construction materials testing and inspection services and provide foundation consulting services and recommendations for the excavation and installations of the foundations. MC Squared evaluated the viability of the existing concrete tanks to be re-used as part of the rehabilitation of the plant Performed Ultrasonic Assessment of the concrete tank using a V-Meter.
The planned structures included an electrical building, an odor control building, and a wet well for the proposed pump station  The wet well shaft was approximately 200 feet deep with circular concrete walls to house pumps and store wastewater.

The excavation for the shaft consisted of open cut to top of rock followed by rock excavation by blasting or by shoring the excavation using soldier piles and lagging system. We performed geotechnical explorations, rock coring and laboratory testing to arrive with the most cost-effective foundation system to support the construction.
